Hey,
It's great to see more names showing up. It wakes up a dormant part of the brain.
Where is Tommie Maines ? Badger ?

)- Friday, October 31, 2003 08:04 AM
I have heard a rumor that Tommy Maines has passed away, but that has not been confirmed. I have spoken to Chuck Badger on the phone, so he is still alive & kickin'. Larry Dinnell & I are gonna make some phone calls to prod more people into getting on board.

I got a note from Chuck Badger yesterday saying that he is still thinking about whether or not to attend the reunion. Someone please call him and tell him that IT IS OPEN BAR!!!

I took this picture of Mac's grave in April. He is buried in the Mass. National Cemetary on the Cape. Harber, Mac and myself did basic at Ft. Leonardwood and then went to Germany in April, 1977 after ADM training at Ft. Belvoir. Mac was a good friend, as many of you know. I wish I could kid him about his stinkin' Red Sox this year.

Mike Tuck Thursday, October 30, 2003 05:32 PM
Larry,

Thanks for the picture. I remember Mac.

I think this Reunion is an great idea and want to say Thank You Pete for starting it. I was there from Jan 1978 to Oct 1980 and was assigned to 4th platoon and Sgt Badger was the platoon Sgt, so many memories from that time in my life and oh so many freinds that were like brothers to me, to many to list..

Peter Thursday, October 2, 2003 12:28 PM
Kevin, I didn't start this. Harry Keels started this, but passed me the ball. I took the ball & ran with it!

I will be retiring soon after being stop lossed for the war in Iraq. That was a hoot. I sure could have used the kind of team work that ADMer's displayed on every mission. I served in the 567th, 5th Platoon (Daddy Dowdle PSG) from May of '78 until '82 then was booted for some bad behavior while on TDY to Kellinghusen as one of the infamous five. Did some time at 317th Engr Bn, Camp Eschborn before being ordered to the 66th at Hood where I was reinstated to the PRP. I did a year there in '83 and went back to Hanau and the 567th late '83 until '86 when they shut us down. I became an electronic tech after that and will retire in a few months. I would love to hear from anybody that served with me. Are any of the Kellinghusen crowd out there? I know Larry Fields chimed in once upon a time and Herbert Griffin was out there. I'm very sorry to hear about Purvis.

Mike Tuck Wednesday, October 1, 2003 12:21 PM
So, who were the "infamous five", and what did they do ? I'm sure the statute of limitations has expired, though names can be changed to protect the innocent...

Charlie McGurk Wednesday, October 29, 2003 05:19 PM
Harry, remember the Mercedes?

Harry Keels Thursday, February 12, 2004 08:55 AM
The infamous five were Don Harris, Nicolai, Toby Leffler, one I'll keep anonymous, and me. Nicolai beat the rap but the rest of us went down for partying a little too hard in Kellinghusen one night. Something about raiding discos in deuce and a halfs.

Is Jake Moore out there. You're my hero Jake the snake!

Look on the "reunion" page. I have posted a countdown timer. It is counting down to the hour of the reunion, based on Las Vegas time. I hope you get a kick out of it! cool
happy danceI know I said I wouldn't do it till the snow flies, but it was easier then I thought.

Mike Wednesday, October 1, 2003 12:17 PM
Way to go Peter ! Do you suppose being a "short timer" in the RA is still anticipated the way it was for us ?

Charlie McGurk Wednesday, October 29, 2003 05:21 PM
Peter, just sent you a check today, hopefully word of mouth and e-mail will spread and we'll have a helluva reunion.

I also sent my reunion money and a donation to help. Pete has done a tremendous job with this and deserves our full support and thanks. Looking forward to Vegas! Only 10 more months! Woo-hoo!

Mike Tuck Friday, September 26, 2003 03:24 PM
Have you started a short timer's calender ?

(- Sunday, September 28, 2003 02:23 PM
Mike, you are not the only one to mention that! Maybe I can post one on the web site! Don't look for it too soon, tho. Maybe after the first snowfall...

Just found this web site about a month ago. Was doing a google search for (ADM) and this site came up. Pretty neat. About time somebody did something like this. Any way, I was in Hanau 81-85. Was interested in knowing what kind of response your getting for the Reunion.

Peter Tuesday, September 2, 2003 04:55 PM
Buzz,
My goal was to have 100 people show enthusiasm for a reunion before I made solid plans. I have 96 definite "maybe's" right now, so I have made the plans. I have mailed out info to all 96 people, so now we will see who is serious....

Rass Wednesday, December 24, 2003 01:58 PM
Buzz I remember the times in 2nd Platoon. I took over 2nd Platoon from SFC Thomas. I do remember your car accident and the broken leg. Take Care of yourself and hope to see you this summer in Vegas.

This is unreal!! I Think it would be great to to get togeather with all the folks from the great 567th Engineer Company (ADM) "PROUD AND READY". I'm sitting here at my home with Bob Marshall and his family hanging out for the weekend. For all those who knew Charlie Purvis I wanted to let you know that he had passed away about 8 or 9 years ago of cancer. He lived in Alvin Texas and worked at the Prison as one of the head honcho's doing what he did best, yelling at people!! If things go right we will see ya'll in Vegas

Nice to see all the people that did the time.

I was in the 62nd Engineer Co in Vicenza, Italy from around January '77 to September 78 as a 12E. Perhaps we'll see more later on
