Thanx, Mike.
I have been in contact with Bill Wilson. He is unsure if he can make the reunion due to his work.
I can use the other names to help narrow down the information I have collectd from other people. Middle initial is always a big help!

I hope the garage looks good! wink

Dave White 88 Monday, February 23, 2004 05:33 PM
Mike, was Robert Landi a tall Italian guy from Rhode Island ? if so he was in my platoon. I also remember two short Italian brothers from Rhode Island also, they were gong to go into the family business of being a mortician, do you remember these guys ?

Dave Tuesday, February 24, 2004 07:43 AM
I think you are right about Bob Landi. There is a picture recently posted in the photo album with him in it along with Steve Carpenter & Charlie McGurk.
The two "short italian guys" from Rhode Island are the Massey brothers, Jeff & Ed. They both say they are coming to the reunion, but Jeff is the only one to have sent in his deposit.
(Hint hint, Ed!)

I received a call from Jim Cauthron several days ago - a voice I hadn't heard for 30 years. It was truly good to hear from you. Jim was my staff sergeant in the 567th Adm at Kelly Barracks from about November, 1970 to March, 1972. He also was my best man in my wedding to my German bride, Evelyn, in January, 1972. In browsing this website I found no other names other than Jim that I recognized or who served during that time. I'd love to hear from any of those who served with me. Some that I remember include Platoon Sergeant Charlie Watters, John Goggin, Tom Sissen, Karl Bossert, Bob Dixon, Frank Kovacks, and Ray Lassi and others who I should remember but don't. Again, it was good hearing from you, Jim - and I may be interested in a Vegas reunion if it happens.

Peter, Webmaster Monday, December 8, 2003 07:04 AM
Charlie Waters is planning to attend the reunion! I hope you can come to.

I arrived in Germany the same day as Tuck in April 1975 and I ETSed November 1976. I was in SSG Mallow's Team. For a few months I lived in an appartment with Bradly(Nick)Carter,Ed Laraque, and Harry Thompson. I hung with Ed Brady and also Philip Boots. When I got out I went in the Reserves and then in 1986 I went back Active Army as a (91C) Licensed Practical Nurse and went to Saudi in October 1990 to May 1991. I was an Army Recruiter for a short period. In 1994 I got out again and I am working at the Leavenworth Kansas VA Medical Center as a Registered Nurse on a PSYCH unit.

Well, I was never in the 567th, was in the 570th and later the 66th. I recognize some of the names. Harrell was great talking to ya, looking forward to seeing ya. Moffett, Wheeler, Fraizer, McGurk, (to name a few from the past) how ya all doing???? Give me a call, wk# is (502) 626-1445 or 1-800-223-3735 ext. 6-1445 and don't be shocked, I am still proudly serving.

Peter Endy Thursday, November 20, 2003 03:07 PM
You needn't have served in the 567th to be part of this group, but being a 12E or any of the support personnel that worked in an ADM unit is a must. Ron Moffet & Charlie McGurk are on board for the reunion. Wheeler & Fraser are on the list, but I am waiting for confirmation from them...along with like 80 others.

Hey Gang,
Got a call Sunday from Little Gene, things are starting to pickup about the reunion. Glad to hear Middle Gene is going to be there. I know there must be someone that retired around Ft.Hood must know where Samples and Schutz are what about Drapper? DeVoe?, Jerry (Hussell)Russell knows where ADMson lives. I'm going to work on Wheeler and Ike. I still want to read a message from one of you ring knockers. Lets puts some "Y" in the RSVP page. I look forward to checking the web site daily.

Thes posts have triggered memories and questions. I left in April '78 after three fun filled years... I'm curious to know more about the 567th being dis banded and for those of you who re-upped anything about SSG Scraggs, SFC Brubaker, SSG Husbands, SGT Woodall, SSG Schutz. Thanks !

Rick Baker Tuesday, November 18, 2003 10:35 PM
The 567th was deactivated in early 1986.We started closing shop in late 1985,turning in equipment etc.(We still had a lot of equipment left over that had somehow "found" it's way into the company's platoons. Some first Lt was still trying to get rid of it when I left Hanau in Apr.'86.
All ADM units were deactivated around this time frame with the 66th in Hood being the last I think.
Actually the beginning of the end started much earlier.I did a little research and found out that NATO's policy since 1977 was to decrease the number of nuclear weapons in it's armory to the minimum necessary for deterrence.
The final nail in the ADM's coffin occured at the NATO Nuclear Planning Group meeting on 29-30 Oct. 1985,where SACEUR decided to reduce the number of warheads in Europe by 1400 by 1988.The ADM's were the first to go.Plus cruise missle development was well under way by then. It's kinda funny, but I always thought that if the ballon ever went up we were kinda low cost cruise missles!
Hope I haven't bored you,but I do a lot of surfing when I'm working nights!I think Brubaker is somewhere around Ft.Riley working for the gov. as a civilian.

Mike Wednesday, November 19, 2003 09:59 AM
Thanks for the history; it's never boring.

I remmember the time we went to Garmish I think in March 76. You got sick but was going to try to have fun anyway. On the bus you vomited but held it in. You must have vomited 3 times without letting go and the bus finally stopped. I wounder if that tree lived. You tryed again the next day. We went to the Zucspitz and that Castle.

Deano Friday, November 28, 2003 11:07 PM
Also, we arrived in germany and the 567th the same day. I was in SSG Mallow's Team. I was only in for two years "that time" I was also in the reserves and then Active for another 8 years from 86 to 94 made E-6 I now work at the Leavenworth VA med Center as a Registered Nurse on the Psyciatric Ward.

When I got to the 567th in early 1977, I was placed on this team. I don't remember the Team Chief's name sitting behind the beer castle, but the rest of the team members are: (clockwise from bottom left) me, OShea, Terry Dugan, Ron Ankrum holding up the Ralph Roster.

Hey all, glad to see some more activity on the web site. I got a message from David Vance on 10/27/03 that said he spoke Tommie Mains on the phone about the web site and Tommie was going to check it out so that should stop the rummors. Besides I'm the one that is supposed to be dead, but only the "good Die young". I haven't seen anything in print from any of our ring knockers, are you "Hotel Califorina" cats waiting for an engraved invite? On a more somber note tell me what happened to Mac. Has anybody heard from Chandler, Joe Wolff,Bill Mallow or Walter Erb Christisten?
